Dear members of the international Symbolic Computation community,
 
I just received a note that Professor Eiichi Goto passed away on June
12, 
2005, due to sudden heart attack. He was one of the Japanese pioneers in

the area of symbolic computation and a truly interdisciplinary
scientist.
